H&R Block, the tax preparation & electronic filing company, is both a leading franchise and a leader in social media engagement. Entreprenuer magazine ranks H&R Block #2 overall in it 2012 Franchise 500 Ranking.
H&R Block’s Facebook landing page immediately connects users with their current campaign “Detroit Money City.” With over 100,000 Fans, this page includes six custom pages offering a branded experience, sweepstakes, appointment scheduler, games and more. Once nice features is Locations, it is a page that shows a Bing map with pins indicating the H&R Block locations in my area. Overall H&R Block’s Facebook Page is an excellent example of Social Media for Retail.
H&R Block’s Twitter Profile currently has 11,477 followers! With 5 to 10 tweets a day, this is an active profile. Tweets include responses to questions by customers, politics, promotion of products and services, sharing of information, congratulations, etc. H&R Block is doing a great job with their Twitter profile.
With over 15.3 million views, H&R Block’s YouTube channel is very effective. The current series of videos are engaging looks at the bright side of life in Detroit and H&R Blocks commitment to the city.
With over 17,000 followers, H&R Block has a presence on LinkedIn. Both corporate and store level job opportunities are listed.
